Lego Central Perk - Lego Ideas 21319

I am very late to the game on building this set, I have had it for a long time, meant to build it many times, but never got around to it until today! Friends has had and will always be one of my favourite sitcoms! So this was one of my very first lego kits that I bought. rip Gunther and Chandler Bing. The build was quite fun and it did get complicated in some particular areas when I realized that I was missing pieces in order for it to work as per the instructions, so unfortunately my set does not even look accurate either. I was also confused with the "central perk" window, but it made sense that Lego had it facing inwards because there is not much going on outside on the street, which is such a shame. It would have been nice to have the sidewalk as intended so you could place Pheobe outside with a better visual effect as they had it in the show itself and also have it fit into modular build cities. I somehow wanted to have Janice present in this set. Personally, I didn't think Monica and Phoebe were represented as well as they could have been in minifig form. (maybe just me) I love the camera lights it was a nice addition to the build. And the odds and ends. I placed the Piano infront of the other seating area by the washrooms and it fit perfectly to easily move it to the CP window to have Ross play his "muzic" and give Pheobe an intermission break. Regardless of all of all these details from a FRIENDS Fan, I am happy to have this in my collection of Lego sets. I would LOVE to see a new/revised version of this with the Friends Apartments above in a Modular Build! (we can dream, right?) I Also did read a comment where someone mentioned once built this fits right back into the box! (with the exception of the cameras) AND It does! As LEGO boxes go, this is one of the BEST boxes I have, of all the lego sets I currently own! (it has grown rapidly in this short timeframe) Make more boxes like this please.

I never really had Lego as a kid, maybe a couple of little sets here and there. I remember my little sister and her dad were into it and had some really great sets back in the day. As an adult, I always wanted to get my own sets but would just usually take over the kids builds then get sad when they would play with them and break them 😂. In 2020 I was under going chemotherapy and my sister, knowing what a big fan of Friends I am, bought me this set. It ended up sitting in my room still sealed until Matthew/ Chandler passed away. I was re watching (for the hundredth time) the series and decided it was time. I absolutely enjoyed every bit and love all the details. Will definitely be keen to complete the set in the future.
